Test Stations

BAG test stations are designed for the fully automatic operation of your electrolysis cells. Comprehensive sensor technology provides the measurement data you need to further develop your stacks, cells and cell materials. The automated processes simplify operation and allow repeatable measurements and thus reliable comparability.

Precise sensors, clear user interface and full integration of temperature control, power supply/measurement and test sequence planning characterise the test systems. The functionality is graphically visualised in the user interface for simple and error-free operation. The on-site operation of the graphical user interface is topped with the possibility of remote access to the system by the customer.

Our customer service is also characterised not only by the rapid availability on site at our customers' premises, but also by the fact that all our systems have remote maintenance software which, together with our maintenance tool package, ensures that our customers receive immediate support from us. This means that faults can be rectified quickly and system upgrades can be installed on site at the customer's premises. This reduces operating costs and shutdown times to a minimum.

The intrinsically safe system architecture (stop: category S0) with nitrogen flushing and monitoring of the explosion limit values in the product gases characterises the system safety architecture. The external protection enclosure together with the internal ventilated enclosure of the hydrogen-carrying part of the system guarantees a maximum level of safety.

The Elektrolysis-Single-Cell-Tester (EEZT)

We offer our EEZT in a standardised design. In addition to the basic functions of our test systems mentioned above, this offers a system structure for the operation of PEM electrolysis cells, pressure control and integrated water treatment and can be expanded with additional modular functions.

The key data of the standard system:

PEM system, basic design AEM-capable
Identical water and gas circuits on both the anode and cathode side
Standard power supply: 50 A (1.2 kW)
Maximum regulated system pressure: 30 bar
Cell water temperature up to 80 °C

optional Extensions of the EEZT:

DC current up to 500A
Any number of voltage measuring points
Electrolysis short-stack test system (EKST) with larger tanks, sensors and line diameters for increased gas and media flow rates
Potentiostat/galvanostat control and measurement data acquisition fully integrated
Maximum reduction in metal contact due to internal coating of the components
Anion exchange membrane (AEM) package with potassium hydroxide concentration control
Active ventilation for environments without laboratory air extraction
Temperature range extension up to 120°C
Pressure range extension up to 63 bar

Safety

Various safety installations and a sophisticated ventilation concept ensure safe operation of the electrolysis. Gas sensors in the housings, ventilation monitoring, smoke detectors, door contacts, continuous limit value monitoring and automatic nitrogen flushing in the event of a fault are all part of the standard configuration. This ensures operator and system protection at all times, e.g. in the event of a burst cell seal as shown in the picture.

For safe long-term operation.

Production capacities

Depending on the configuration, the delivery time is usually seven months from order placement.
